Abstract:
To obtain a lubricating composition having good viscosity values at low and high temperatures and good shear stability.
This composition comprises at least about 30wt.% at least one mineral oil, about 5 to about 30wt.% at least one polymer having an Mw of below about 10,000, and about 2 to about 12wt.% polymer having an Mw of about 15,000 or above. The lubricating composition should have a shear loss of below about 15wt.% when tested by the taper bearing shearing test for 20hr. It may further contain about 5 to about 30wt.% at least one fluidizing agent, at least one antiwear agent or an extreme-pressure additive, at least about 1.5wt.% at least one antioxidant, or a mixture thereof.
