Abstract:
To provide a lubricating method using water that improves lubricity (extreme pressure properties and low friction) and also has low environmental load when water is used as a lubricant from the aspect of safety and good hygiene.
In the lubricating method, a gel-like lubricant or grease, which is obtained by blending 1-60 mass% of a thickener based on the total composition with mineral oil-based, synthetic oil-based and/or animal and vegetable oil-based lubricating oil and producing a semisolid state, is applied to a sliding part, and subsequently the sliding part is lubricated with water.
