Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant composition for automobile gears that has extremely good shear stability, and strikes a balance between temperature viscosity properties and oil film retention ability at high levels.SOLUTION: A lubricant composition for automobile gears contains a lubricant base oil composed of synthetic oil with a 100°C kinematic viscosity of 1-12 mm/s, a viscosity index of 120 or more, and a pour point of -30°C or less, and an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer with an ethylene content of 55-85 mol%, a 100°C kinematic viscosity of 10-200 mm/s, and a molecular weight distribution of 2.2 or less, and having the melting point in a range of -30°C to -60°C. The lubricant composition has a 100°C kinematic viscosity of 10-40 mm/s.SELECTED DRAWING: None
