PURPOSE: To obtain the subject compsn. containing an oil-soluble metal hydrocarbyl dithiophophate and a specific oil-soluble boron-free additive compsn. and increased in lubricating oil or functional oil properties though the content of a metal-containing component is low.
CONSTITUTION: The objective additive conc. compsn. comprises an oil-soluble metal hydrocarbyl dithiophosphate (pref. zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate) of dithiocarbamate (pref. zinc dibutyl dithiocarbamate, etc.) (A) and an oil-soluble boron-free phosphorus-containing additive compsn. (B) obtained by heating an oil-soluble ash-free dispersant containing basic nitrogen and/or hydroxyl and not containing boron (i) and inorg. phosphoric acid (ii). As the component (i), a polyisobutenylsuccinimide ash-free dispersant obtained by reacting a mixture of triethylenetetramine or teytraethylenepentamine, polyisobutene and an unsaturated polycarboxylic acid (anhydride) is pref.
