To provide a lubricant composition capable of attaining abrasion resistance, anti-seizing properties, and fatigue life at a high level for a long period, even when a viscosity thereof is decreased, and making it possible that low fuel-consuming properties of a driving and transmitting device are compatible with durability thereof.
This lubricant composition for the driving and transmitting device contains a lubricant base oil, a poly(meth)acrylate-based viscosity index-improving agent, and a phosphorus-containing compound, wherein the lubricant base oil satisfies at least one of conditions (a) and (b) as follows: (a) the lubricant base oil contains a saturated component in an amount of ≥95 mass% and a ratio of a cyclic saturated component to the saturated component of 0.1-10 mass%; and (b) the lubricant base oil satisfies a condition expressed by formula (1): 1.435≤n
