A

NEW MATERIAL: Alkylphenyl poly(oxypropylene) aminocarbamate having at least one basic nitrogen and an average molecular weight of 600-6000, wherein the alkyl group is substantially straight-chain of at least 15 carbon atoms.

USE: Components of lubricating oil and fuel oil. The compound controls deposits in the crankcase and suppress at minimum of increasing of demand of octane number, and is compatible with other lubricating components in the lubricating oils.

PROCESS: The compound is obtained by allowing alkylphenyl poly(oxypropylene) alcohol to react with phosgene to obtain alkylphenyl poly(oxypropylene) chloroformate, and allowing the compound thus obtained to react with polyamines.
