To provide a lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engines having low friction and its durability even at a low phosphorus content, exhibiting excellent oxidation stability and causing little deterioration of a seal rubber used as a constitution element of the internal combustion engine.
The lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engines is produced by compounding a lubricant base oil with (A) 0.04-0.10 mass% (based on the total composition) zinc dialkyldithiophosphate in terms of phosphorus concentration, (B) 0.05-4.0 mass% phenyl-α-naphthylamine, (C) 0.02-0.15 mass% molybdenum dithiocarbamate-based friction lowering agent in terms of molybdenum and (D) 0.01-0.5 mass% one or more sulfur-containing compounds selected from thiazole compounds, thiadiazole compounds, dithiocarbamate compounds, dihydrocarbyl polysulfide compounds and sulfurized ester compounds in terms of sulfur concentration.
