Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition having a high coefficient of dynamic friction and a high coefficient of static friction and improved in power transmission efficiency by incorporating a specified aliphatic compound into a lube base oil for a wet clutch or brake.
CONSTITUTION: A lube base oil for a wet clutch or brake having a kinematic viscosity at 100C of 1-80cSt is mixed with 0.01-10 pts.wt. 2-14C aliphatic compound having at least two hydroxyl groups.
