To provide a lubricant composition which retains a sufficient low friction property, namely a fuel cost-saving property, even on the deterioration of such a lubricant as containing soot or worn metal powder, is excellent in the durability of a wear-preventing property, cleanability, and the like and in oxidation stability, and can sufficiently maintain the performance of an exhausted gas-post-treating device over a long period.
This lubricant composition is characterized by containing (A) 0.01 to 10 mass% of an ash-free friction-adjusting agent, (B) 0.01 to 0.2 mass% (as phosphorus content) of a phosphorus-containing wear-preventing agent, (C) 0.01 to 1 mass% (as metal content) of a metal-based cleaning agent comprising at least (Ca) a metal-based cleaning agent having a metal ratio of <2 and (Cb) a metal-based cleaning agent having a metal ratio of ≥2 in a metal ratio of 2.4 to 10, and (D) 0.01 to 0.4 mass% (as nitrogen content) of an ash-free dispersing agent having a weight-average mol. wt. of 3,000 to 20,000, on the basis of the total amount of the composition, in a lubricant base oil.
