Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a manufacturing cost accompanying working of lubricating oil passages in a lubrication oil feed structure suitable for the valve system of an internal combustion engine driving intake and exhaust valves by enabling oil to be fed through communicating grooves and wide oil grooves formed on a supporting part holding the end parts of adjoining rocker shafts.
SOLUTION: A bearing part 24A provided on the supporting part 24 of a rocker shaft 22 is formed with a working oil feed passage 51 communicated to a working oil feed passage 50 in a rocker shaft 22-1 and a lubricating oil feed passage 53 communicated to a lubricating oil feed passage 52 in a rocker shaft 22-2, and the lubricating oil is fed to the rocker shaft 22 through an annular groove 55 formed on the supporting part 24. Namely, an oil groove 56 communicated to the annular groove 55 and extending over the end parts of the respective rocker shafts 22-1, 22-2 is formed on the inner circumferential of the cap 24B of the supporting part 24, and the working oil can be fed to the oil groove 56. Further, oil holes 56A, 56B are formed on the positions opposite to the end parts of the respective rocker shafts 22-1, 22-2 on the upper part of a bearing 54.
