PURPOSE: To carry out a stable pressure governing with a high accuracy without producing a new control pressure for pressure governing as well as realizing a compact device.

CONSTITUTION: A lubricating oil pressure governing device is provided with a lubricating oil feeding passage 2, a relief passage 8, a pressure governing valve 18, a spring 27, a throttle hydraulic pressure governing mechanism, and a transmission mechanism 74. The relief passage 8 is branched from the way of the lubricating oil feeding passage 2. When the pressure governing valve 18 receives the pressure of the lubricating oil from an oil pump in the engine, it moves in the direction to open the relief passage 8. The spring 27 energizes the pressure governing valve 18 elastically in the direction to block the relief passage 18. The throttle hydraulic pressure governing mechanism regulates the pressure of the operating oil in an automatic transmission to the throttle hudraulic pressure corresponding to the load of the internal combustion engine. The transmission mechanism 74 transmits the throttle hydraulic pressure to the spring 27 as a control pressure, in order to make the pressure of the lubricating oil after the pressure regulation to a pressure corresponding to the rotation frequency and the load of the internal combustion engine at that time.
