Title:
LUBRICATING STRUCTURE OF BEARING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03229048
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prolong the service life in a second bearing by setting up an interconnecting hole in the lower part than a line connecting the axial center of both first and second turning shafts, and opening a first oil sump side of the interconnecting hole in opposition to a flow of lubricating oil flowing with a raking-up member, in a geared transmission for aircraft, etc., having both first and second bearings.

CONSTITUTION: Lubricating oil fed in order from the bottom part of a casing A through bearings 23, 21 and run into a first oil sump R1 is pushed upward by a rotating lock nut 26 and flows thereabout, and a part of this lubricating oil flows in an interconnecting hole 13a from an opening 13a in opposition to a flow of lubricating oil at a position near to a bottom part of the first oil sump R1 and then it flows into a second oil sump R2. Since such one near to the bottom part of the first oil sump R1 of the lubricating oil flowing after being pushed upward by the lock nut 26 and less in air content flows into the second oil sump R2 from the first oil sump R1 through the interconnecting hole 13a from the opening 13a1 of the interconnecting hole 19a, a sufficient amount of lubricating oil is fed to the second oil sump R2 from the first one R1, thus lubricity in a bearing 31 is improved as well as its service life is elevated longer.
