PURPOSE: To ensure lubrication of a friction engaging device arranged to the outside by a method wherein a lubricating hole is formed in the thick section part of a spline formed to the annular protrusion part of a fixed member and is connected to a hydraulic circuit through an oil passage formed in the fixed member.
CONSTITUTION: Two friction engaging elements B1 and B2 are arranged to the inside of annular protrusion parts 205a and 205b of a fixed member 205 so that the given rotary element of a planetary unit is rotated or fixed. Lubricating oil from a valve body is injected from the spline part of the brake B1 through an oil passage 217 of an oil pump case (fixed member) 205 and a lubricating hole 220 of the annular protrusion part 205a. Further, lubricating oil is collided with a flange member 211 on which the brake B2 is rotated, and flows through a plurality of oil holes 211a, formed in the flange part 211, by means of the centrifugal force thereof to a friction disc 216b for brake. This constitution ensures lubrication of a friction engaging device arranged to the outside and enables reliable prevention of wear and seizure of a frictional agent.
