Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve a lubricating condition in a high speed region and to prevent the worsening of friction in a low and intermediate speed region in the lubricating system of an internal combustion engine.
CONSTITUTION: An overlay layer having higher heat conductance than a crankpin is formed over the full surface of the bearing of a connecting rod and a relief valve (lubricating oil quantity adjusting means) 4 is provided for gradually reducing the quantity of lubricating oil supplied from a main gallery 6 through a passage in the crank to the connecting rod bearing at a low and intermediate speed region against a high speed region.
