Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubrication system, which shows low friction, and is excellent in wear resistance by preventing the adhesion of titanium and by controlling the reaction of titanium and alcohol in a sliding surface of an alcohol-titanium matrix material.
SOLUTION: This lubrication system is used for the purpose of reducing the friction and wear of sliding parts. Alcohol is included in the sliding parts composed of the titanium matrix composite material containing ceramics of 10-40 wt. %.
