Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire which can suppress unevenness in luminance distribution, and a display device which has favorable display quality.SOLUTION: A luminaire of one embodiment includes a light source, a first light guide plate, a second light guide plate and a reflector. The first light guide plate has a first end part located on the light source side, a second end part located on the opposite side from the first end part, a first surface located between the first end part and the second end part, and a second surface located on the opposite side from the first surface, and it emits light propagating toward the second end part from the first end part, and light propagating toward the first end part from the second end part from the first surface. The second light guide plate has a third end part located on the light source side, a fourth end part located on the opposite side from the third end part, a third surface located between the third end part and the fourth end part and facing the second surface and a fourth surface located on the opposite side from the third surface, and it propagates light toward the fourth end part from the third end part. The reflector reflects the light which propagates the second light guide plate and reaches the fourth end part, and makes it incident in the second end part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
