Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the characteristic of a fluorescent lamp from changing due to difference of attachment state of the fluorescent lamp to a socket.
SOLUTION: This luminaire 3A for a fluorescent lamp is intended to light up the fluorescent lamp 1(1B) called a single base type fluorescent lamp, and includes the socket 2(2B) for electrically connecting to each terminal of the fluorescent lamp 1(1B) so as to be in a position rotationally symmetrical by 180 degrees, and a ballast 4 for supplying power for lighting to the fluorescent lamp 1(1B) through the socket 2(2B). The socket 2(2B) is positioned so that a perpendicular line PL from an amalgam 14 to a central axis AX0 of the fluorescent lamp 1(1B) may be in the horizontal direction to reduce change in characteristics of the fluorescent lamp 1(1B) even if the fluorescent lamp 1(1B) is in any of positions rotationally symmetrical by 180 degrees relative to the socket 2(2B).
