PURPOSE: To downsize a luminaire without affecting the lighting of a cold cathode fluorescent lamp.

CONSTITUTION: A power source portion 18 supplying DC voltage is provided in an installation apparatus 12 outside a luminaire main body 11. A high frequency lighting device 14 and a cold cathode fluorescent lamp 14 are provided in the luminaire main body 11. The power source portion 18 and the high frequency lighting device 14 are connected by a connection wire 19. Since only the power source portion 18 is provided in the installation apparatus 12, the wiring distance between the high frequency lighting device 14 and the cold cathode fluorescent lamp 15 is short so that the lighting of the cold cathode fluorescent lamp 15 is not affected. Since the power source portion 18 is provided in the installation apparatus 12 outside the luminaire main body 11, the luminaire main body 11 can be downsized.
