PURPOSE: To provide a reflection type luminaire for lamps capable of easily fitting or removing lamps, increasing the number of lamps, and changing the illuminance and light distribution with a simple structure.

CONSTITUTION: Lamps 2 having U-shaped luminescence sections are arranged in a nearly angular reflector 1 capable of changing the opening angle of side reflectors 13 so that the luminescence sections are vertically overlapped. The opening angle of the side reflectors 13 is increased to increase the space when the lamps 2 are fitted or removed, and the lamp fitting/removing work is facilitated. The change of the illuminance distribution and the adjustment of light distribution can be coped with simple adjustment when the opening (tilt) angle of the side reflectors 13 is merely changed without replacing the whole luminaire once fitted.
