To provide a luminaire in which not only the position of elevation angle direction but also the position of rotating direction of a lamp having a reflecting mirror to reflect light from a light source can be simply changed in order to adjust the irradiation direction of light from the light source.

The lamp 3 having a reflecting mirror 8 to reflect light from a light source 2 is supported capable of rocking and rotation by a light irradiation direction changing mechanism 4 at an installation frame 5 of nearly cylindrical shape to be fixed to a wall of a ceiling or the like. This light irradiation direction changing mechanism 4 has a rotating member 14 of nearly cylindrical shape mounted rotatably on the installation frame 5 concentrically with the installation frame 5, and the inner circumference face of the installation frame 5 and the inner circumference face of the rotating member 14 are constructed in the nearly same plane, and a projection for rotation 14a is formed on the inner circumferential face near the bottom part contacting the installation frame 5 in the rotating member 14.
