To provide a luminaire capable of enhancing the readability on a long wavelength side where the readability degrades due to decline of a focus adjustment function by a crystalline lens of eye caused by a loss of resilience of the crystalline lens resulting from aging or fatigue.

The luminaire includes an LED module 51 irradiating white light, a color sensor 53 for detecting presence of a color set in a sensing range, an LED module 52 irradiating light of a color specified corresponding to the set color, and an illumination control unit 10 for controlling the lighting/unlighting of the LED modules 51, 52. Light from the LED module 52 is irradiated through a light distribution member for controlling the irradiation so that a range corresponding to the sensing range of the color sensor 53 is irradiated with the light from the LED module 52.
