PURPOSE: To utilize a luminaire as a lighting fixture and as a decorative illumi nation by irradiating the light through a light transmissive semi-spherical body.

CONSTITUTION: The inner surface 2 has multiple flat surface parts 3 arranged with a predetermined space and a curved surface part 4 having a constant curvature. The outer surface 5 has a nearly semi-spherical light transmissive cover 1, which is made of the light transmissive curved surface having a constant curvature, an equipment fitting member 11, which is to be fitted to the cover 1 integrally to from a nearly spherical appearance, and a cover body 21. The equipment fitting member 11 and the cover body 21 are provided with a light bulb 48 and a battery 42 or the like housed freely to be changed. The light from the light bulb 48 housed in the member 11 and the cover body 21 is radiated through the cover 1, and the multiple flat surface parts 3 of the inner surface 2 and the curved surface of the outer surface 5 having a constant curvature work as a convex lens to radiate the multiple predetermined-shape light to the ceiling and the wall or the like. Consequently, decorative illumination is provided.
