PURPOSE: To make a luminaire suitable for carrying about by constituting the luminaire of the first and the second apparatus bodies, enclosing the first secondary battery in the first body, enclosing a lamp and the second secondary battery in the second body, and separating only the second body when an object is illuminated while carrying about it.

CONSTITUTION: A luminaire is composed of the first apparatus body 1 and the second apparatus body 2. A circuit block 5a, the first secondary battery 6a and an external electric power supply connecting part 8 are enclosed in the body 1, and on the outer periphery, a connector 10a is arranged to be connected to the second body 2 and a switch 7 to switch lighting and lights-out to/from each other, and an electric power supply cord 3 is connected to the connecting part 8. A lamp 4, a lighting circuit 5b and the second secondary battery 6b are enclosed in the second body 2, and on the outer periphery, a connector 10b is arranged to be fitted to the connector 10a and a switch 11 to switch lighting and lights-out to/from each other. In this way, when an external object is illuminated while carrying about it, the second body 2 is removed, and illumination becomes made possible by carrying about only the body 2 which becomes lightweight.
