PURPOSE: To provide a luminaire which makes the action point of a thermal protection roughly constant, and also reduce stresses applied to its components.

CONSTITUTION: A bobbin 3 provided with the plural numbers of brim parts 4 is provided, a thermal protecto TP is disposed while being in contact with the outer surface 8 of a coil 5 for a choke coil L1 over which the coil 5 is wound, between the brim parts 4, and let the thermal protector TP be instantly released when an increase in temperature of the choke coil L1 is detected by the thermal protector TP. As a result, a luminaire can thereby be provided, which can make the action point of the thermal protector roughly constant, and reduce stresses applied to its components.
