Title:
LUMINANCE CHARACTERISTIC CORRECTING CIRCUIT FOR PDP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3183377
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a luminance characteristic correcting circuit for correcting the luminance so that the brightness of a frame is linearly changed by judging a prescribed data from a supplied video data, and correcting the video data on the basis of the judgment result.
CONSTITUTION: A judging part 1 is formed of a plurality of decoders, and a prescribed data is judged from a supplied video signal every decoder to output a decode signal. When the supplied video signal is any preset value every decoder 3, a prescribed decode signal 4 is transferred from the corresponding decoder 3 to an arithmetic part 2. The arithmetic part 2 inputs the decode signal 4 of the judging part 1, and adds or subtracts a required value to or from the supplied video signal every decode signal 4 to perform a correction. This luminance characteristic correcting circuit for PDP is used, whereby the image of a personal computer or the image of a television can be displayed as an image with a proper luminance gradation.
