Abstract:
To provide a noble luminescent material capable of readily performing a molecular design, further desirably, operating with near ultraviolet light, visible light and infrared light.SOLUTION: A luminescent material containing a molecule in which an organic ligand, or, a complex containing an organic ligand and an element to which the organic ligand is coordinated are bonded on a surface of a cluster nucleus of small number of atoms, in which the organic ligand has 14 pairs in total of number of electrons constituting unshared electron pairs on an atom bonding π electron pair constituting a π-conjugated system and it, and, contains a fused ring structure having an aromatic index larger than 2, the number of atoms of the small number atom cluster of the molecule is 8 to 150.SELECTED DRAWING: None
