Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve mechanical strength of a pole head of a rotor of lump salient-pole type and maintain the draft cooling efficiency, by a method wherein both ends of the pole head are held to a rotation shaft through a support member of nearly disc-like shape. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 2 is inserted to inner circumferential side of a stator 1 through a gap. The rotor 2 has a pole shell 4 formed integrally at center part of a rotation shaft 3. A field coil 5 is wound on the pole shell 4. A pole head 8 is tightened to outer side surface of the pole shell 4 strongly using a large number of bolts 9 and constitutes a pole core together with the pole shell 4, and also supports centrifugal force of the field coil 5. An axial-flow fan 10 is fitted in shrinkage fit to the rotation shaft 3 at axial end side of the pole. Axial end portion 8a of the pole head 8 is supported at both ends by the bolt 9 and the axial-flow fan 9.
