Abstract:
To provide a lung cancer model animal having EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) gene mutation, and to provide its use.
A lung cancer model animal is such as to be transferred with an expression vector containing a lung surfactant protein C promoter and a mouse mutated EGFR gene. Another version of this model animal is such as to be transferred with an expression vector containing a lung surfactant protein C promoter and a human mutated EGFR gene. A method for screening candidate substance(s) for treating lung cancer comprising using either one of the above model animals or the tissue or cells derived therefrom is also provided.
