Abstract:

To produce an aluminum alloy which combines excellent thermal conductivity and strength in reduced stages.

In the method of producing an alloy sheet, an Al-Mg-Si based alloy ingot containing, by weight, 0.2 to 0.8% Si, 0.3 to 0.9% Mg, ≤0.35% Fe and ≤0.20% Cu, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities is subjected to homogenizing treatment, is subjected to hot rough rolling and hot finish rolling, and is thereafter subjected to cold rolling. In the optional pass of the hot rough rolling, the material temperature before the pass is controlled to 350 to 440°C, and further, the draft in the cold rolling is controlled to ≥30%.
