Abstract:
To provide a method for producing an Al-plated steel pipe component capable of realizing an Al-plated steel pipe component having more excellent flange part corrosion resistance.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing an Al-plated steel pipe component comprising: a heating step where an Al-plated steel pipe having an Al-plated layer containing Al and Si is arranged between at least a pair of dies with a prescribed shape, and is heated by conduction heating to a heating temperature within the range from Ac3 transformation point or above to below 1,102°C: a bulging step where air under prescribed pressure is fed to the hollow part of the Al-plated steel pipe whose temperature has been reached to the heating temperature to subject the Al-plated steel pipe to hot blow molding, and a bulged part is formed from the surface of the Al-plated steel pipe; and a molding step where the dies are closed under prescribed pressure, and thereafter air under prescribed pressure is fed to the hollow part of the Al-plated steel pipe to mold a hollow part with a prescribed cross-sectional shape and a flange part projecting from the outer surface of the hollow part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
