Abstract:
To develop a technique whereby a Zn-Al alloy exhibiting superplasticity at room temperature can be efficiently formed into a large-size vibration-damping member, e.g. a vibration-resistant device of a building structure.
A Zn-Al alloy exhibiting superplasticity at room temperature is subjected to warm working in a temperature range of from 40°C to 250°C at a distortion speed (expressed by true strain) of 10-3 or higher.
