PURPOSE: To enhance the production quantity by providing a marking machine for bottles or the like, in which a space which allows only regular containers to pass therethrough, between the lower part of a side wall and the bottom of a holder, and by providing thereunderneath a container holding member adapted to be rotationally moved, and a means for discharging and retrieving a container having an incorrect attitude, a retrieving means, a means of unloading containers having a regular attitude which are arranged in the mentioned order in the rotating direction of the container holding member.

CONSTITUTION: A space through which a container passes is defined between the outer wall 5 and the bottom 4 of a hopper 2, and a container holding member 6 is rotationally moved by means of disc assembly between the outer wall 5 and the bottom 4. Further, those having a regular attitude among containers 1 introduced into the hopper 2 are dropped into and held in a container holding member 6 through the space defined between the outer wall 5 and the bottom 4, and are then transferred into an unloading part 14 from which they are discharged by means of a brush 9. Meanwhile, those 34 having are discharged by a brush 18 in a discharge zone 13, into a hopper 15 from which they are returned into the hopper 2 by means of conveyer 16. With this arrangement, it is possible to enhance the production quantity.
