PURPOSE: To increase blanking speed by feeding a clamping part in the backward and forward directions and in the right and left directions and feeding a plate material forcedly in the forward direction.

CONSTITUTION: The clamping part 13 which can clamp a plate material W is fed toward a press 2 face to face in the backward and forward directions. The plate material W is blanked by the fall of an upper die and a lower die 3b in sequence. Therefore, the blanking dies 3 composed of an upper die and a lower die 3b each are arranged in parallel on both sides. The clamping part 13 is fed by a feed mechanism 4 against the press 2 face to face in the backward and forward directions and in the right and left directions. The plate material W can be fed by a pushing and feeding mechanism in the forward direction as the clamping part 13 releases the plate material W. In this way, the blanking yield can be improved.
