Title:
MACHINE ELEMENT PRESSED WITH SHAFT INTO COUPLING MEMBER AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3189058
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the machining cost of a machine element assembled with a coupling member and a shaft via cutting and press-in coupling resulting in plastic deformation and improve the connecting strength by the press-in coupling.
CONSTITUTION: An upheaval section 12 extended in the peripheral direction or the radial direction continuously or noncontinuously is formed on the periphery of a shaft 10, and a chord face 22 with the distance from the axis smaller than the outer radius of the upheaval section 12 is provided at one place in the shaft hole 25 of the coupling member 20. The shaft 10 is pressed into the shaft hole 25, the upheaval section 12 is partially cut and/or plastically deformed by the chord face 22, and the coupling member 20 is coupled with the shaft 10.
