To provide a device capable of detecting and correcting the concentricity error simply and within a short time.
At least one measured signal concerning to thickness of a cloth fiber sliver in a machine having a space for spinning, especially a carding machine, a draw frame, a combing machine or a flyer is corrected. The signal is obtained from a pair of detecting rollers, one of the two rollers is fixed and the other can move apart from the detecting roller fixed by applied with a force so as to detect a cyclic error caused by non-roundness or eccentricity of the pair of the detecting rollers. The pair of the detecting rollers is connected to a displacement sensor and a rotating angle transmitter transmits the signal to the input of an electric system. The output of the electric system transmits the corrected measured signal. The fixed detecting roller and the movable detecting roller are contacted at their circumferential surfaces by pressure added to the movable roller so as to detect the concentricity error for correcting simply within a short time, and when contacting, these rollers can rotate.
