PURPOSE: A machine for making cylindrical cake with high efficiency in which edible cylindrical containers are intermittently conveyed, while they are held vertically, and filled with the core ingredient inside, then the ingredient is frozen, excess ingredient is removed and the containers are coated with a viscous food product at their ends to effect high-efficiency production of cylindrical cake.
CONSTITUTION: Cylindrical containers sent from the arrangement device therefor are held by the atachments 3 on the conveyor 4 and frozen at the bottom end in the liquid nitrogen tank 11 and filled with a core ingredient such as ice cream by means of the first filling device 12. Then, the containers 2 are dipped in the liquid nitrogen tank 18 to freeze the core ingredient and filled with another ingredient, e.g., ice cream different from the first one. The resultant cylindrical containers are frozen in the chamber 24, sent through the coating tank 27 and cut at the projecting part 39b by the cutter blade 29. Then, the cylinders are coated again on the other end in the coating tank 31, then refrozen in the chamber 32. Finally, the resultant cylindrical cake is transferred by means of device 37 to the excluding conveyor 35 for the next stage.
