Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a machine for manufacturing socks which automatically overlaps socks having the same length so as to form a pair of the socks and fits packers on both the ends of the socks and double-folds the socks at the heels thereof such that leg part and foot parts are overlapped with each other.
SOLUTION: This machine for manufacturing the socks is provided with a measurement means for measuring the length of the leg parts which are flattened while the inner surfaces of the knitted fabric of the socks are being stuck with each other, a memory part for storing the length of the leg parts of the measured socks, a stock means for stocking the measured socks of two or more, an overlapping means for overlapping the two socks having leg parts with the nearest lengths with respect to each other among the socks stocked in the stock means, a fitting part for fitting the packers on the ends of the overlapped socks, and a double folding means for double-folding the socks so as to superpose the leg parts of the socks upon the foot parts thereof.
