PURPOSE: To perform application to the production of an automobile glass plate to which cambering and hardening are executed by providing a roller with mutually inclined two end parts and a curved center part for connecting the end parts.

CONSTITUTION: In the case that a glass sheet is curved in more than three groups of a molding roller, the control is arbitrarily applied to the eight groups of the molding roller. When the passing of the glass plate through a passage relating to a molding group is ended, a first curvature radius is immediately taken again, molding is performed from a preceding glass plate with the interval of the almost same length as the length of the molding group generally and then, preparation for receiving a succeeding glass plate is performed. The glass plate obtained in such a manner is provided with a cylindrical front edge 60 matched with the front edge of the glass plate chambered to a cylindrical shape indicated by a single generating line and a rear edge provided with extremely large deflection or deformation.
