To provide a machine part such as an engine part and a machined part which has excellent wear resistance and corrosion resistance, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide an electromechanical product such as an electric switching apparatus, an engine and a cutting apparatus which includes a sliding part, and can stably be operated over a long period of time.
The machine part 1 is obtained by depositing a plating layer (such as a hard Cr plating layer) 12 having a hydrogen content of ≤1 atm% on a substrate 11, and depositing a ceramic thin film (such as a CrN thin film) or a DLC (Diamond like Carbon) thin film on the plating layer 12. The production method comprises a stage wherein the plating layer is formed on the substrate of the machine part; a stage wherein the plating layer is subjected to dehydrogenation treatment so that the content of hydrogen in the plating layer reaches ≤1 atm%; and a stage wherein the ceramic thin film or DLC thin film is deposited on the plating layer.
