PURPOSE: To provide a machine for winding, securing or laying individual fibers rovings onto an element which is rotated in its axis, simultaneously and similarly, through the intermediary of a higher performance lightweight head.
CONSTITUTION: A machine for simultaneously winding a plurality of individual fiber rovings is composed of a gantry 1 for supporting a laying bed holding mechanism plate 7, a laying roller 9 which is attached to the mechanical plate 7 so as to be rotatable around a vertical axis, and which is movable in the direction of a support M to be coated, a means for feeding rovings onto a roller along a tangential line lap, a winding and laying head, and a plurality of spools B which are attached to a stationary creel C while the rovings F are guided by return pulleys 14, 15 between the creel C and the winding and laying head. Further, the return spools 14, 15 are arranged so as to define a surface to be scanned by the rovings and to reduce jerks in the roving winding speed.
