Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten cycle time by controlling a spindle to fulfill an acceleration capability thereof to a maximum extent with a simple configuration in a machine tool performing tapping by synchronous operation of the spindle and a feed rod.SOLUTION: A spindle control unit 18 comprises: an initial operation control unit 30 controlling a spindle 12 to accelerate and rotate at a maximum capability from a machining start position with a maximum rotation velocity V0 set as a target value; a maximum acceleration detection unit 32 detecting a maximum acceleration A0 of the spindle 12 during accelerating rotation; a remaining rotational quantity detection unit 34 detecting a remaining rotational quantity of the spindle 12 from a current position to a target screw depth; a current velocity detection unit 36 detecting a current velocity Vc of the spindle 12; a positioning operation control unit 38 controlling the spindle 12 to decelerate and rotate after the accelerating rotation to reach the target screw depth; and an overrun amount detection unit 40 detecting an overrun amount Ov of the spindle 12 relative to the target screw depth during decelerating rotation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
