Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool capable of feeding or receiving workpieces from one spindle to the other spindle, grasping two workpieces including a male screw portion and a female screw portion by the two spindles, easily mating the two workpieces and assembling the workpieces together.SOLUTION: A machine tool 100 in which a spindle stand motor 66 drives one of or each of two spindles 64 disposed to face each other so that central axes of the spindles 64 match each other to allow the two spindles 64 to approach each other, thereby making it possible to connect the two spindles 64 via a workpiece held on at least one of the two spindles 64, is configured so that the spindle stand motor 66 is stopped so that at least one of the two spindles 64 can move axially while receiving moving resistances of a ball screw 65 and a slide rail 67 when the two spindles 64 are connected to each other via the workpiece.
