PURPOSE: To provide a machine tool without the generation of dispersion in the reversing position of a table.
CONSTITUTION: A direct reversing unit 100 for controlling the reversal of a table is provided in addition to a sequencer. When a left end signal from a detecting switch LS1 provided at the left end of the table is inputted to the input terminal 60 of the direct reversing unit 100, this signal supplies a right- proceed signal holding part 72 with an 'on' signal and a left-proceed signal holding part 74 with an 'off' signal through a signal selecting part 68. The solenoid valves SO1, SO2 of a hydraulic system is thereby controlled to reverse the proceeding direction of the table so as to face the right. When a right end signal from a detecting switch LS2 provided at the right end of the table is inputted to an input terminal 62, reverse action is performed. Since the right end signal and left end signal are thus inputted directly into the direct reversing unit 100, the proceeding direction of the table is reversed immediately so as not to generate the delay of reversing action caused by the scanning time of the sequencer.
