To provide a machine tool with a set state display function, urging a worker to recognize a changed state when the set state of items for control and operation is changed.

This machine tool with a set state display function includes: a machine tool body 1; and a management means 2 for managing the machine tool 1. The management means 2 includes: a control/operating means 3 for controlling and operating the machine tool body 1 according to the set states of various kinds of set items set by a setting means 11 variably setting items; and a change operating means 14 operated by a worker to change the set state of the setting means 11. The management means 2 is provided with a display output means 6 for displaying the changed set state of the setting means 11 on a screen 7a of the screen display means 7 when a change is made by the change operating means 14. The display output means 6 includes a reference set state storing part 16 defining a predetermined reference set state; and a comparing part 17 for comparing the set state of the setting means 11 with the reference set state storing part 16 and displaying the changed set state concerning the set item deviating from the reference set state.
