Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool which has a reduced conveyance cycle by reducing the number of operation times of a workpiece carrier.SOLUTION: An NC lathe 1 includes working means 2 provided with two main shafts 23a and 23b, a workpiece reversion unit 4 for reversing the workpiece and a workpiece carrier 3 for carrying the workpiece. The workpiece reversion unit 4 has two reversion chucks 41a and 41b arranged in the longitudinal direction, and the workpiece carrier 3 has two loader chucks 36a and 36b arranged in the longitudinal direction. The interval between the two reversion chucks 41a and 41b in the longitudinal direction is practically the same as the interval between the two loader chucks 36a and 36b in the longitudinal direction. The configuration allows for simultaneous delivery of the workpiece from the loader chuck 36a to the reversion chuck 41a and reception of the workpiece by the loader chuck 41b from the reversion chuck 41b.
