Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a machine tool suitable for machining, especially, of a sheet-shaped workpiece of a large diameter and the like.
CONSTITUTION: A workpiece is fastened to a rotatable support body 9 having its bearings in a frame 1. A positioning device 35 is provided for fastening a tool 37. The tool 37 is movable at least in the X direction by means of the positioning device 35. A carrier 17 is provided movable along a straight guide 23, 25 of the frame 1 in the Y direction normal to the X direction. The carrier 17 is coupled to the frame 1 by means of coupling members 51 each having a working fluid cylinder.
