Abstract:
To provide a machine tool capable of securing machining accuracy when a wide and lengthy workpiece is machined.
Prescribed machining is applied to the workpiece W placed on a machining table 5 by relatively moving a main spindle 2, to which a tool T is mounted, in the machine tool. The main spindle 2 is relatively movably supported by a machining unit 3 to the machining table 5 in the X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis directions. A workpiece pressing device 40 for pressing and fixing the workpiece W to the machining table 5 is provided to the machining unit 3.
