To provide a machine tool that reduces time required for determining machining conditions with respect to a workpiece.
The machine tool is configured such that a cutting blade is attached to a rotationally-driven main spindle and the cutting blade performs cutting on an object to be cut on prescribed machining conditions along a circular locus, drawn by the cutting edge of the cutting blade, while adjusting the rotational frequency of the main spindle and the feed speed of the main spindle. The machine tool includes: a setting means 16 that allows setting of a plurality of variables including machining target values of machining conditions; a storage means 11 that stores at least first characteristic data showing the relation of the rotational frequency of the main spindle with a first machining target value, and second characteristic data showing the relation of the feed speed with a second machining target value, respectively; and a calculation means 12 that calculates at least the rotational frequency by applying the first machining target value, set by the setting means, to the first characteristic data and the feed speed by applying the second machining target value, set by the setting means, to the second characteristic data, respectively.
