Abstract:
To provide a machine tool that can shorten a machining time while cutting chips.SOLUTION: A machine tool 1 comprises: a main spindle 14 that axially rotates while holding a work-piece W; a tool rotating mechanism 37 that rotates a rotary tool 35a that performs piercing processing to the work-piece W held by the main spindle 14; a first tool movement mechanism 30 that makes the rotary tool 35a move relatively with respect to the main spindle 14 in an axial direction (a z-axial direction) along a rotary shaft of the main spindle 14; and a control part 300 that makes the rotary tool 35a perform piecing processing to the work-piece W while oscillating the rotary tool 35a relatively with respect to the main spindle 14 in the Z-axial direction through the first tool movement mechanism 30, in a state where both of the work-piece W and the rotary tool 35a are rotated through the main spindle 14 and the tool rotating mechanism 37.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
