Abstract:
To provide a technique for preventing chips of a work-piece from entering a storage place of a tool.SOLUTION: A machine tool, which can machine a work-piece, comprises: a magazine for holding a plurality of tools; a spindle to which the first tool of the plurality of tools can be attached; a tool exchanging device for exchanging a first tool attached to the spindle for the second tool selected from the plurality of tools; a camera for photographing the first tool; an ejecting mechanism that ejects fluid for removing chips of the work-piece; and a control part for controlling the machine tool. After an instruction for exchanging the first tool for the second tool is outputted, the control part executes: processing for outputting a photographing instruction to the camera; processing for determining whether the chips of the work-piece are adhering to the first tool or not, on the basis of an image obtained by the camera under the photographing instruction; and processing for making the ejecting mechanism eject fluid in order to remove the chips, when the chips of the work-piece are adhering to the first tool.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
